Hey all, and welcome to the new This Week in AWS Data! This newsletter is meant for folks to stay up to date with everything that is going on in the AWS Data space, including technologies, updates, and resources that have to do with Data Science, Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning. 

With that said, let's dive into the resources for this week!


Updates from the AWS Blog (Feb. 5th to 11th, 2018)

We had a number of updates this week relevant to the Data space from the AWS blogs. Two stand out as the most significant: we can now encrypt DynamoDB data at rest, which will provide another layer of security for apps that leverage this NoSQL-based database. Additionally, the AWS team has provided a brief summary of all of the updates released for their service in 2017.
